ABOUT ARGENTIUM SILVER:
Argentium silver is a modern alloy that replaces some of the copper traditionally found in sterling silver with germanium. Not only is Argentium slower to tarnish than sterling silver, it’s exceptionally strong, even though both alloys contain about the same amount of actual silver.
Argentium silver is the result of research by Peter Johns at the Art and Design Research Institute (ADRI), School of Art & Design, Middlesex University. The project began in 1990 with research on the effects of germanium additions to silver alloys.

ABOUT FINE SILVER:
Fine silver is, by content, 99.9% silver and is often called "pure silver". It is not an alloy such as sterling silver or argentium silver.. . Fine silver is softer than sterling, but can be work-hardened to increase durability. Fine silver is hypo allergenic and is slower to tarnish than sterling silver.
ABOUT STERLING SILVER:
Sterling a silver is 92.5% pure silver. The other 7.5% consists of metals such as copper, zinc, and nickel, which are added for strength. The addition of other metals helps to enhance your silver jewellery and does not in any way detract from its quality.
