Tammie Good is a Calgary based metal smith. She has been creating jewelry for the past 15 years. Tammie has always been able to make "something out of nothing" where her love for art, creation and individuality shone through. Tammie ventured into the world of hand made jewelry by starting with simple wire work. Tammie's love of expanding her skills eventually brought her to metalworking with precious metals....pure bronze being her main focus. She also works with fine silver, gold filled metals and meticulously selected gemstones. Tammie is a self taught artist, but often says " I should have taken at least one lesson! So many mistakes were made in those early days !" She spent hours at the library researching new techniques and perfecting her craft and skill through trial and error. She feels that her work has evolved through out the years to create and provide clients with truly unique, one of a kind pieces. Tammie has a home based studio and uses mainly bronze clay to create her designs. Each piece is created by hand; from her initial sketches to the actual hand sculpting and metal working of the kiln fired pieces. There is no mass production involved. She creates each piece one by one.
