Tammie Good is a Calgary based metal smith. She has been creating jewelry for the past 15 years. Tammie has always been able to make "something out of nothing" where her love for art, creation and individuality shone through. Tammie ventured into the world of handcrafted jewelry by starting with simple wire work. Tammie's love of expanding her skills eventually brought her to metalworking with precious metals.... pure bronze being her main focus. She also works with fine silver, 14K gold filled metals and meticulously selected gemstones. Tammie is drawn to organic designs. Tammie is a self-proclaimed perfectionist, but imperfection inspires. She loves a great line, but odd shapes intrigue, earthy muted tones inspire. Tammie is a self-taught artist, but often says " I should have taken at least one lesson! So many mistakes were made in those early days!" She spent hours at the library researching new techniques and perfecting her craft and skill through trial and error. She feels that her work has evolved throughout the years to create and provide clients with truly unique, one of a kind, quality pieces. ** Update....Tammie took her first lesson in the spring of 2023!! She was thrilled to be able to learn advanced soldering techniques that she has incorporated into her 2023 designs. Tammie has a home-based studio and uses bronze and silver clay, fine and sterling silver and 14K gold-filled metals to create her designs. Every. Single. Step. is authentic and created by hand; from her initial sketches to the actual hand sculpting and metal working of the kiln fired pieces. There is no mass production involved. She creates each piece one by one.
